The British band's landmark albums The Dark Side of the Moon (1973) and The Wall (1979) stand among the highest-selling records ever, with combined equivalent sales surpassing 250 million units. Recognized for their introspective songwriting and grand-scale concert productions, Pink Floyd sold their master recordings and name-and-image rights to Sony Music in October 2024 for approximately $400 million.
