About

Uriah Heep are a British hard rock band formed in London in 1969, widely regarded as one of the key architects of heavy metal alongside Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. Their signature blend of layered harmonies, Hammond organ and Mick Box's guitar defined a generation of rock, and albums like Demons and Wizards (1972) remain touchstones of the genre. Over a career spanning more than 55 years the band has released 25 studio albums and sold over 40 million records worldwide. Guitarist Mick Box is the sole surviving original member.
