About

Frank Zappa (1940-1993) was an American composer, guitarist, producer and filmmaker whose work defied easy categorisation - he wove rock, jazz, orchestral music and musique concrète together with satirical lyrics aimed squarely at American culture. He led the Mothers of Invention and released 62 albums in his lifetime; posthumous releases from his legendary Vault continue to this day. He is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and stylistically diverse musicians of the 20th century.
