Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) was an Italian composer, one of the most influential figures in the history of opera. He wrote more than two dozen operas, including La traviata, Rigoletto and Aida, works that remain at the core of the world repertoire today. His music is known for its dramatic power, strong melodic writing and a deep insight into human emotion.
The Verdi Festival in Parma and Busseto will present in October 2026, in addition to Aida and Nabucco, the rarely performed opera Alzira.
