Pop Messe 2026
Pop Messe 2026 is a music festival featuring a diverse lineup at Brno's Velodrom.
Einstürzende Neubauten are a German experimental group formed in West Berlin on 1 April 1980, led by vocalist Blixa Bargeld. They built their identity around industrial noise, custom-made instruments fashioned from scrap metal and power tools, and a restless drive to push music into new territory - influencing generations of artists from Henry Rollins to Quentin Tarantino. With over ten studio albums to their name, the band remains active; their 2024 double album Rampen (apm: alien pop music) is their latest release.
The band confirmed Josephine Lukschy as the new bassist and announced a series of festival performances in Europe for 2026.
Josephine Lukschy, formerly vocalist and guitarist of the Berlin band Crashpad, joined the group as bassist after a two-round selection process.
Long-time member Alexander Hacke announced his departure from the band in April 2025, citing personal and professional disagreements.
The double album Rampen (apm: alien pop music) was released in April 2024 and became the band's highest-charting album in German charts - at 5th place.
The band performed an autumn tour titled "alien pop music 2024", which included, among other things, a performance at Prague's Forum Karlín.
