About

Die Krupps are a German industrial/EBM band founded in Düsseldorf in 1980 by Jürgen Engler and Ralf Dörper. Their early records - Stahlwerksynfonie (1981) and Volle Kraft voraus! (1982) - helped define the mechanical, rhythmic sound that shaped EBM and later industrial metal, influencing acts from Front 242 to Detroit techno pioneers. After disbanding in 1997, they reformed in 2013 and have remained active, releasing new material and touring internationally.
