Ministry is an American industrial metal band founded in Chicago in 1981 by Al Jourgensen. Starting out as a synth-pop act, the band shifted into industrial metal and thrash metal, with the platinum-certified Psalm 69 (1992) earning their first of six Grammy nominations. After a hiatus from 2008 to 2011, Ministry continued releasing records; their 17th and final studio album, Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery), is due October 30, 2026.
Ministry released the single "We Hate" from the final album Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery), which comes out on October 30, 2026 on Cleopatra Records.
Al Jourgensen announced the farewell tour "Goodbye Europe Tour" with special guest Die Krupps, which starts in April 2027 in Utrecht.
Ministry released the album The Squirrely Years Revisited on Cleopatra Records - reworked versions of synth-pop compositions from the 1980s.
Al Jourgensen and Paul Barker signed a contract with Cleopatra Records to record the final Ministry album; Barker returned to the band after more than twenty years.
Ministry released the 16th studio album Hopiumforthemasses on Nuclear Blast Records.
