John Zorn

John Zorn is an American composer, saxophonist, and improviser whose work spans avant-garde jazz, noise music, and chamber composition. He founded the New York label Tzadik and has composed hundreds of works across wildly diverse genres. His piece Jumalattaret (2012) sets fragments of the Finnish epic Kalevala for voice and chamber ensemble.
