Dimmu Borgir
Norwegian symphonic black metal legends Dimmu Borgir bring their orchestral sound to Brno.
Dimmu Borgir are a Norwegian symphonic black metal band formed in Oslo in 1993. Over more than three decades they have built a reputation as one of extreme metal's most ambitious acts, fusing black metal aggression with full orchestral arrangements and choral elements. Landmark albums such as Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia (2001) and Death Cult Armageddon (2003) - the latter recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra - brought them mainstream visibility without abandoning the genre's roots. In May 2026 they released Grand Serpent Rising, their first studio album in eight years, via Nuclear Blast Records.
Dimmu Borgir released a new studio album Grand Serpent Rising on May 22, 2026 on Nuclear Blast Records - their first full-length album since Eonian (2018).
In October 2026, Dimmu Borgir will embark on a European co-headlining tour 'In League With Satan' with Behemoth and Dark Funeral; they will perform in Brno on October 24.
In August 2026, Dimmu Borgir will return to a North American headlining tour Grand Serpent Rising after an eight-year hiatus with guests Hypocrisy, Suffocation, and Hulder.
In March 2026, the band announced the album Grand Serpent Rising and released the single 'Ulvgjeld & Blodsodel'; the second single 'Ascent' followed in April 2026.
In August 2024, guitarist Galder left the band after his final performance at Dynamo Metal Fest; he was replaced by guitarist Damage.
