About

The Beatles were a British rock group from Liverpool, active 1960-1970, whose four members - John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr - reshaped popular music worldwide. Holders of a record 20 US Billboard Hot 100 number ones and 18 UK chart-toppers, they remain the best-selling music act in history. Albums such as Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Abbey Road are still regarded as landmarks of recorded music. The band split in 1970, yet their catalog stays culturally alive: in 2023 they released AI-assisted final song Now and Then, which debuted at number one in the UK.
