About

AG Flek is a folk-rock band from Zlín, founded in 1977 by Ivo Viktorin, Karel Markytán, Blanka Táborská and Josef Šobáň. They made their name at the Porta festival in the late 1970s, and when Vlasta Redl joined in 1984 the sound shifted noticeably toward rock. Their 1983 debut (later retitled Blázni umírají nadvakrát) is considered a landmark of Czech folk; the 1994 collaboration with Hradišťan and Jiří Pavlica earned a gold record.
