Sklepy v obci is a spread-out network of wine cellars belonging to the Šardice winemakers, who are organised in the Mendelův vinařský spolek association. Šardice falls within the Slovácká wine sub-region, and its vineyard tracts have been documented since the 13th century. The association holds several open-cellar events each year - a spring opening, a night-time edition and the summer Šardické sklepy dokořán - where visitors taste wines straight from the producers, with cimbalom music as accompaniment.
