The Legend Called Bicycle
An exhibition exploring the history of cycling and bicycle evolution from high-wheelers to modern designs. Highlights include a unique 1921 bicycle by engineer Paul Jaray and bicycles from Czech manufacturers.
Muzeum Zábřeh occupies the Renaissance house Pod Podloubím, considered one of the finest surviving examples of a burgher house in northern Moravia. The mazhaus-type building with Gothic cellars was remodelled in the second half of the 16th century, when its tower and arcade were added. Run by the Regional Museum in Šumperk, it holds a permanent exhibition on the history of the Zábřeh area, a dedicated section on local-born explorer Jan Eskymo Welzl, and collections ranging from Václav Hollar prints to folk paintings on glass.
