Chapel of Crosses – Exhibition at the Brno City Museum
A new exhibition in a Baroque chapel at the Brno City Museum explores the path from religious devotion to totalitarianism and marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Muzeum města Brna is housed in Špilberk Castle, which has overlooked Brno from its hilltop since the 13th century. The castle served as a royal residence before becoming one of the most feared Habsburg prisons in Central Europe; today it holds permanent exhibitions on Brno's history alongside temporary shows. The casemates, where political prisoners from across Europe were once held, draw visitors year-round.
