Kulturní dům Střelnice in Vrchlabí hosts theatre performances, concerts, balls, exhibitions and children's events, serving the wider Krkonoše foothills region. Amateur theatre here goes back to the late 19th century. The hall gained wider fame in 1967 when Miloš Forman chose it as the main setting for his film "The Firemen's Ball" - stills and props from the shoot are on display in the entrance hall. The complex also includes the Kotelna music club for smaller gigs and the Kartonka cinema.
