About the venue

A multipurpose sports hall built in 1951-1953 on Cingrova Street in Moravská Ostrava. Its most distinctive feature is the roof - a lamella network of short timber planks forming a barrel vault with no supporting columns whatsoever. Capacity reaches 5,000 for concerts and 1,700 for basketball. Both NH Ostrava (men) and SBŠ Ostrava (women) use it as their home court. The city plans to demolish the hall as part of the widening of Místecká Street.
