About

Arakain is a Czech heavy metal band formed in 1982 in Prague's Strašnice district. One of the longest-running acts on the Czech metal scene, the group has released over twenty studio albums and collected multiple gold and platinum records, along with the Anděl award in the hard & heavy category. Aleš Brichta fronted the band through the 1980s and 1990s; Jan Toužimský has been the vocalist since 2005, while guitarist Jiří Urban is the sole founding member still in the lineup.

    The band released a single and music video "K zemi přibitej" (December 24, 2024) and in January 2025 added another single "Neztrácíme Náboj" - fans perceive both works as a harbinger of a new album.

    Arakain and Alkehol announced a joint A+A Tour 2025 throughout the Czech Republic - Arakain celebrates 43 years on stage with it.
