Petr Tomeček / Pan's Flute in Full Glory
Petr Tomeček performs iconic melodies on the pan's flute in the intimate Kredence hall at Kroměříž Castle, sharing personal stories about this legendary instrument.
The early Baroque palace on Sněmovní náměstí served for centuries as the summer residence of the bishops and archbishops of Olomouc, taking its present form between 1664 and 1695 to designs by architects Filiberto Lucchese and Giovanni Pietro Tencalla. Together with the Podzámecká and Květná gardens, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998. The castle gallery, holding 538 works, ranks as the second most important painting collection in the Czech Republic - its centrepiece is Titian's Apollo and Marsyas. The Rococo Assembly Hall, where the Austrian Imperial Diet sat in 1848-1849, was also used as a filming location for Miloš Forman's Amadeus.
