A theatrical adaptation of a work by two French authors, Fabien Nury and Thierry Robin, who present in graphic novel form several crucial days following the death of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, during which fierce struggles for succession took place.

Screenwriter Fabien Nury is the mind behind the graphic novel La Mort de Staline, whose 2017 film adaptation reached audiences worldwide. His series Il était une fois en France took the best-series prize at Angoulême, and Tyler Cross earned him the Prix BD Fnac/France Inter.
