Between Fragility and Resilience
What is the mental state of today's children? Why are the numbers of child psychiatric patients rising?
The debate with guests will focus on the psychological resilience of the young generation - on what strengthens it and what weakens it. The discussion will address the pressures and demands children face, the ways they cope with them, and the growing complexity of the world they are entering.
The conversation will also touch on the question of what help children need - what can be influenced at the family and community level, and what systemic solutions are possible at the state level.
Guests will include psychologist and special educator Martina Viktorie Kopecká, special educator and former government commissioner for human rights Klára Šimáčková Laurenčíková, psychologist and author of the book "Help for the Child's Soul" Alena Večeřová Procházková, and educator Karel Gamba, recipient of the Global Teacher Prize Czech Republic.
