About: Vlasta Redl

Born on 14 April 1959 in Nový Jičín, Vlasta Redl is a Moravian songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist who launched his career in 1983 with the Zlín ensemble AG Flek. He achieved prominence through his songwriting for Fleret, notably composing Letiště, which won the composer competition at the 1986 Porta festival. His artistic output spans nearly 60 albums as a session musician, arranger and producer, and his compositions synthesize Moravian and Slovak folk elements with rock, jazz, blues and funk idioms.

Founded in 1988 by schoolmates Milan Cais (drums, vocals) and Marek Huňát alias Mardoša (bass), Tata Bojs emerged as a Prague alternative rock band.
