Tata Bojs
Czech rock band Tata Bojs performs at the Music on the Vineyards festival in Znojmo.
Tata Bojs are a Prague-based alternative rock band founded in 1988 by classmates Milan Cais (drums, vocals) and Marek Huňát, known as Mardoša (bass). They broke through with the album Futuretro (2000), later winning four Anděl Awards for Nanoalbum (2004) - the Czech music industry's top prize. Over more than 35 years the band has released eleven studio albums and built a reputation for tightly crafted lyrics and elaborate live visuals.
On February 26, 2026, the band released their eleventh studio album V původním snění (Supraphon) and premiered it with a sold-out concert at Prague's Forum Karlín.
In March 2026, the band returned with a concert to Šumperk after more than fifteen years of absence.
In February 2025, Tata Bojs released EP25 on the occasion of a sold-out concert at Forum Karlín and launched a series of performances with new material.
In 2024, the full-length documentary film tata_bojs.doc by director Marek Najbrt premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, covering the band's first 36 years.
For summer 2026, Tata Bojs are included in the open-air concert series Hudba na vinicích - they will perform, for example, in Znojmo and Třebívlice.
