Festival Patron Concert: PAVEL ŠPORCL
South Moravian Museum, Znojmo · from 531 Kč · ≈ 22 €
Violinist Pavel Šporcl, patron of the Znojmo Music Festival since 2006, will perform together with pianist Inna Faliks on the courtyard of the South Moravian Museum as part of the 22nd edition of the festival, subtitled "Royal Music for a Royal City" (July 10–29, 2026). Inna Faliks regularly performs on leading world stages and dedicates herself to both classical repertoire and contemporary music. Šporcl first performed at the festival during its second edition in 2006 and has actively participated in the programme every year since—over twenty years of collaboration, he has performed one to three festival concerts annually in various venues: in churches, on castles, in courtyards of burgher houses, in castle gardens, and in industrial halls. Internationally renowned critic Henry Roth included Šporcl as the only Czech violinist of his generation in his book Violin Virtuosos—from Paganini to the 21st Century. In 2015 he received the state decoration For Merit to the State. The festival as a whole offers over thirty concerts and accompanying events at various locations in Znojmo and the surrounding area—in castles, churches, in Podyjí National Park, and in courtyards of burgher houses. All concerts are accompanied by wine tastings from regional winemakers, and a limited edition of festival wines is produced as part of the festival.
