Music Celebrations with Václav Hudeček

Music Celebrations with Václav Hudeček is an annual three-day chamber music festival organized by the Třebíč Municipal Cultural Centre. In 2026, the festival runs from 22 to 24 May, with concerts starting at 19:00 at two prestigious venues — the Pasáž Theatre and the Basilica of St. Prokop. The festival is part of a broader vision of Music Celebrations, with violin virtuoso Václav Hudeček as artistic guarantor. Hudeček was a student of the legendary David Oistrakh. At his concerts, Hudeček traditionally brings together renowned performers with young talents from the Czech music scene. In previous seasons, performers have included Jiří Pavlica & Hradišťan, the musical families Nouzovských, Bártů and Fialů, and the Kukal Quartet. Each evening of the festival features a different musical programme — from festive symphonic concerts through chamber family music to spiritually-themed evenings at the Basilica of St. Prokop. Holders of ZTP and ZTP/P disability certificates are entitled to a 50% discount on ticket prices.
