Jiří Pavlica & Hradišťan
The legendary Czech folk ensemble Jiří Pavlica & Hradišťan will perform traditional Czech music at the summer stage in Brno.
Hradišťan is a music and dance ensemble from Uherské Hradiště, founded in 1950. Since 1978 it has been led by violinist and composer Jiří Pavlica (b. 1953), who gradually transformed what was originally a folk ensemble into a genre-crossing group spanning Moravian folk tradition, classical music and world music. The ensemble has collaborated with the Brno Philharmonic, Spirituál kvintet, opera singer Dagmar Pecková and South African musician Dizu Plaatjes, and is widely regarded as a distinctive phenomenon of Czech cultural life.
Hradišťan performed in November 2025 in Žďár nad Sázavou a jubilee 100th joint concert with Hana and Petr Ulrych and the band Javory Beat.
In December 2025, Hradišťan performed as a special guest at the Great Deer Concert in the Prague O2 arena.
The music video for the song Miluju tě, filmed live in the O2 arena with the band Jelen, exceeded 1.2 million views on YouTube in October 2024.
Hradišťan recorded the song Miluju tě with the band Jelen for the album Všechno bude dobrý and performed it live in the sold-out O2 arena in Prague.
Hradišťan released a 2CD with Hana and Petr Ulrych, the Spirituál quintet and Dagmar Pecková, whose creation was preceded by a tour with dozens of sold-out concerts.
