On Thursday, September 3rd at 7 p.m., violinist Ivan Ženatý and pianist Martin Kasík will perform at the Concert Hall of the Litovel Municipal Club.
Ivan Ženatý launched his career following success at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and victory at the Prague Spring Competition. Since then, he has performed with orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra London, Berliner Symphoniker, and the Czech Philharmonic. His development was shaped by collaboration with Josef Suk and mentorship from figures such as Nathan Milstein and Ruggiero Ricci. He also works as a pedagogue at music institutions across Europe and the USA.
Martin Kasík studied at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and at the Prague AMU in the class of Ivan Klánský. He gained international attention by winning the Prague Spring Competition in 1998 and subsequently the Young Concert Artists competition in New York. He has performed in leading concert halls in Europe, the USA, and Japan, focuses on chamber music, and teaches at HAMU and the Prague Conservatory. He is also artistic director of the International Chopin Festival in Mariánské Lázně.
