Ivo Jahelka - The Singing Lawyer

Litovel's City Club invites all fans of clever humour and singer-songwriter music to a concert by the renowned "singing lawyer" Ivo Jahelka. This beloved Czech songwriter, lyricist, and trained lawyer has built his audience over a long career with original musical "court tales" inspired by real stories from courtrooms and official records. Jahelka has released seven albums of these court-inspired songs, and his performances are marked by gentle humour, perspective, and distinctive storytelling. Beyond his concert work, he has also served as a moderator and publicist, with his songs regularly appearing on radio and television. Thanks to his unique blend of law and music, he has been a prominent figure on the Czech folk and singer-songwriter scene for many years.

The concert programme, titled "IN THE NAME OF THE REPUBLIC", offers an evening of beloved ballads and new material from his latest album of the same name. The show will feature the most popular songs from all seven court-tale albums, plus a taste of new tracks from the current album "IN THE NAME OF THE REPUBLIC". Audiences can also expect favourite anecdotes from court, police, and other official records - the witty, insightful stories that have made Jahelka's performances beloved for years.

The concert takes place on Tuesday, 16 March 2027 at 18:00 in the Small Hall of Záložna in Litovel. Admission at the door: 250 CZK.
