Vlastimil Harapes (1946-2024) was a principal dancer and long-serving artistic director of the National Theatre Ballet in Prague, honoured with the title of National Artist and a lifetime achievement Thália Award. Beyond ballet he built a parallel film career, with roles in Markéta Lazarová and the popular comedy Jak vytrhnout velrybě stoličku. He died in May 2024, and this production is part of a hommage to his legacy.
