The exhibition presents key works by Czech painter Jaroslav Valečka from recent years. Valečka focuses on themes connected with historical events of the Sudeten region, landscape transformations, and the associated stories, legends, and mythology.

About the venue: Klenová Palace

The ruins of Klenová castle, first recorded in 1287, stand on a hill 13 km west of Klatovy near the Czech-German border. Count Stadion added a neo-Gothic château after 1832 - an early example of the style in Bohemia. The site is the birthplace of Kryštof Harant z Polžic a Bezdružic (1564). Since 1963 the château has housed the Galerie Klatovy / Klenová, focused on contemporary Czech and international art, with a sculpture park and views of the Šumava highlands from the ramparts.
