Dan Bárta & Illustratosphere

Dan Bárta and the band Illustratosphere will perform on July 14 at the summer stage of Bolka Polívka Theatre.

Dan Bárta is an eleven-time winner of the Anděl Award in the categories Singer of the Year and Singer of the Quarter-Century. He came to widespread prominence in the 1990s with the band Alice and by performing in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, and became part of the cult J.A.R. His musical career spans from Sexy Dancers through songs from films (Snowboarders, Rafters, Headlong) to jazz – including collaborations with Robert Balzar's trio. He has also performed with Bobby McFerrin and Dominik Miller, Sting's session guitarist.

In 2000, he founded his own band Illustratosphere, with which he has released five studio albums and one live double album. The first four albums were also released in remastered editions and for the first time on vinyl.
