Everybody Hurts

I took a hot shower. For the first time since that event, I could stand on my feet. That man simply smiled at me. I got on the wrong train. My brother took my hand. I was in the right place at the right time. Maybe it was because of the sign on the opposite wall. I started screaming at the top of my lungs. Just when I wanted to end it all, "Everybody Hurts" started playing on the radio.

A production that rehabilitates the word "hope" – and waits for the moment when the first ray of light pierces the darkness. "In the darkest nights, remember the sun," Jiří Mahen once urged.

This time, the audience and their stories will be the script. During the season, the theatre collects them and at the end transforms them into an evening celebrating the courage not to give up. Director Jan Mikulášek does not spare even the actors themselves – they too dare to share the painful moments of their lives, because simply #everybodyhurts.
