Basinfirefest 2026
Four-day metal festival headlined by W.A.S.P., Apocalyptica, and Paradise Lost at a traditional venue near Plzeň.
W.A.S.P. is an American heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1982 by vocalist and guitarist Blackie Lawless. The group became notorious for its shock-rock live shows - Lawless famously tied semi-naked models to a torture rack and hurled raw meat into the crowd - while also building a catalogue of more than twenty studio albums over four decades. Their 1984 self-titled debut, The Last Command (1985) and The Headless Children (1989) remain cornerstones of the genre.
W.A.S.P. announced ten European dates for the "1984 To Headless" tour, including a performance at the Basinfire Festival in the Czech Republic (June 24, 2026).
The band announced a North American "1984 To Headless" tour with guests KK's Priest, starting September 10, 2026 in California and ending October 31.
Blackie Lawless released a lyric video for the single "Paint It Black" and simultaneously announced sold-out European performances.
W.A.S.P. expanded their spring/summer European "Album ONE Alive" tour with additional dates - for the first time in 40 years they performed their complete debut album from start to finish.
The North American leg of the "Album ONE Alive" tour covered 39 cities and concluded on December 14, 2024 at the Hollywood Palladium; specialized websites ranked it among the best tours of the year.
