W.A.S.P. is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1982, led by vocalist and guitarist Blackie Lawless. The band became known for provocative stage shows and hard-hitting tracks such as "I Wanna Be Somebody" and "Wild Child". Over four decades they have released more than twenty studio albums.
