The Dwarfs of East Agouza is a trio formed in 2012 in the Agouza district of Cairo. It brings together Alan Bishop (USA), Maurice Louca (Egypt), and Sam Shalabi (Canada). Their music blends krautrock, free jazz, Arabic influences, and Egyptian shaabi music. The group has released six albums, including Bes (2016), and has performed at festivals such as Unsound and Roskilde.
