About

Pavel Čadek (born 28 December 1989 in Brno) is a Czech singer-songwriter who accompanies himself on cello - a combination that makes him unique on the Czech folk scene. He half-jokingly calls his genre 'cellofolk', placing it somewhere between Jaromír Nohavica and Apocalyptica. Trained in theoretical computer science at Masaryk University, he chose music as his career. His four studio albums include Stepní vlk (2023), which received a shortlist nomination for the Anděl Award in the folk category.
