Pokáč, born Jan Pokorný on 25 July 1990 in Prague, is a Czech singer-songwriter and lyricist who plays guitar and ukulele. His songs - ironic, sardonic, and rooted in everyday life - made him one of the first Czech artists to break into the mainstream via YouTube. He holds a master's degree in software engineering from CTU Prague, a background that occasionally surfaces in his lyrics. In 2021 he won the Silver Slavík award (Singer of the Year) and in September 2022 sold out the Prague O2 Arena.
On May 16, 2026, Pokáč held a children's concert Pokáčova dětská O2 arena at the Prague O2 Arena dedicated to the album Sheep on the Couch.
In June 2025, Pokáč released his fifth studio album Sheep on the Couch - his first children's album in his discography with fourteen tracks.
In October 2025, Pokáč performed at the celebration of Lunetic's thirty-year anniversary, where he sang the song Only You with the band.
Pokáč participated in Lucie Bílá's new album Obyčejná holka, which was released in August 2025.
In 2025, Pokáč conducted the Vesnice Tour - a series of concerts in small Czech villages with autographs after each performance.
