Maxim Monter

About

Maxim (Maxmilian) Johann Monter (1865–1942) was an architect who lived in Brno from 1904 to 1910, working as a professor at the state German industrial school. During this period he designed a number of apartment buildings in the city centre, reflecting a stylistic shift from late historicism and Art Nouveau towards a more modernist expression. His works remain a visible part of Brno's architectural heritage.
