Marek Holeček is a Czech mountaineer and traveller known for his alpine-style ascents of eight-thousanders in the Himalayas and Karakoram, often in small two-person teams or solo. He has repeatedly tackled extreme faces in the central Himalayas and is a recipient of the prestigious Piolet d'Or climbing award.
