MANIAC is a Prague-based dance-rock trio founded in 2011 by brothers Jiří and Marek Bareš, completed by drummer Matěj Meier. Over more than a decade the band has played 900+ shows across the Czech Republic and abroad, including major festivals such as Colours of Ostrava and the Slovak Pohoda. Their sound blends danceable rhythms with rock energy and witty, occasionally sarcastic Czech lyrics.
The band MANIAC performed its largest solo concert to date on November 26, 2025 at the Prague club Roxy, where it also premiered its new album.
In September 2024, the band released the single Bávo with an official music video.
The band MANIAC performed six concerts as a support band for Wohnout in 2024.
For summer and fall 2026, the band has planned a busy festival season - including again alongside Wohnout at Veselské Pískovny, in Valtice, and in Frýdek-Místek.
