Madam

About

Madam is a folk band from Česká Třebová, Czech Republic, formed in 1994 from the earlier group Šprk. Their melodic original songs are written mainly by singer and guitarist Eva Šichová, with touches of bluegrass and country. In 1998 the band won the national final of the Porta festival in Plzeň in the folk category. They have released two albums: the debut Madam (1997) and the retrospective Soukromé nebe (2011).

The song "Drawing with Chalk" won in the Samson Radio "Samson Relay" contest and the band released a music video for it.

The band released their second album "Private Sky" with 16 compositions, which is a selection of their work over 13 years.
