There and Back Again
A two-day fantasy festival with bands, stand-up comedy, Renaissance fair, and interactive zones inspired by The Lord of the Rings. Archers, sword-fighters, crafts, and cosplay at Ptení Castle.
Lichočar is a witch folk band from Brno, Czech Republic, founded in 2018 and now seven members strong. Their sound weaves together medieval folk, pagan folk, tribal music and world music, drawing on instruments ranging from Celtic harp and Irish bodhrán to shaman drum, jaw harp and Turkish davul. All their work revolves around a fictional mythological creature - Lichočar, a demon of misfortune - whose story the band develops through both music and prose. Their February 2022 debut album and the follow-up EP Tři matičky (2024) were released together on physical CD in November 2024.
Lichočar performed at the ČaroBeltine 2026 festival in the Land of Celts in Nasavrkách (May 2, 2026).
In November 2024, a physical CD was released combining the debut album Lichočar and the EP Tři matičky on one disc.
The EP Tři matičky was released on November 6, 2024, as a musical supplement to the debut album, developing the story of the three mothers of the demon Lichočar.
The band recorded two soundtrack pieces for trailers of the video game Vigor, including the single Krukkuldakte.
😴 Nothing scheduled with this artist in the near future.
