About

Lash & Grey is a Slovak jazz-soul duo formed by vocalist Kristína Mihaľová and guitarist Jakub Šedivý, who met while studying at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. Their debut album Sleepin' with the Lights On (2020) won the Radio_Head Award for best debut, while the follow-up Blossoms of Your World took the Anděl Award for best Slovak album of 2021 and a Radio_Head Award for single of the year (After War). In 2022, Kristína became the only European finalist in the top five at the prestigious Sarah Vaughan Jazz Vocal Competition in New Jersey. The duo has performed in 14 countries, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Nancy Jazz Pulsations, Jazz Baltica, and three tours across Italy.

The duo performed for the first time in Prešov in a lineup with the band - with keyboardist Eugene Vizváry, bassist Richard Csine, and drummer David Hodek.

Lash & Grey are included in the program of the Trenčín 2026 festival as part of the cultural program of the European Capital of Culture.

The duo performed at the prestigious French festival Nancy Jazz Pulsations, where it presented itself to an international jazz audience.

Lash & Grey performed at a gala evening of the Slovak embassy in The Hague on the occasion of Constitution Day of the Slovak Republic.
