Jára Bárta (born 1981 in Tábor) is a Czech jazz pianist, keyboardist and composer. He studied piano and composition at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague and musicology at Masaryk University in Brno, graduating in 2012. He teaches jazz interpretation at the conservatory and regularly accompanies singer Lenka Filipová on tour. His own New Jazz Trio performs original compositions alongside arrangements of standards by Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Dave Brubeck.
