Havok is an American thrash metal band from Denver, Colorado, active since 2004. Founded by vocalist and guitarist David Sanchez - the only member to have remained throughout - the band is credited alongside acts like Municipal Waste and Warbringer with driving the thrash metal revival of the late 2000s and early 2010s. They have toured in over 50 countries and released five studio albums, with Unnatural Selection (2013) marking their first entry on the US Billboard 200.
Havok was confirmed as the opening band for Killswitch Engage's American tour (June 2026) alongside Machine Head and Iron Reagan.
Havok will launch their own European tour (EU/UK Tour 2026) in September 2026 with stops in Dublin, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Prague, Berlin, Hamburg, and Oslo.
Havok replaced the band Possessed on Exodus' spring American tour 'Swarm of Horror' (April-May 2025).
Havok released the EP New Eyes via Afterburner Recordings - the band's first independent release since its inception; the EP contains two original compositions and cover versions of Metallica and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Guitarist Reece Scruggs left the band in July 2024 for personal reasons; he was replaced as live guitarist by Brett Rechtfertig.
