Cimbal Classic is a genre-crossing band from Brno, founded in 1992 by dulcimer player Dalibor Štrunc and his wife Kateřina, a violinist and singer. Over more than thirty years the group has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices on the Czech folk and alternative scene, blending folk, world music and chamber influences with Štrunc's original songwriting. The ensemble has released more than thirteen albums and has been broadcast by Czech Television, Czech Radio and the BBC.
