Znojmo Underground is the largest system of underground passages and cellars in the Czech Republic – a labyrinth nearly 27 km long with up to four levels beneath the historic city centre. Its construction dates back to the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, when every burgher's house had cellar spaces used for storage. The roughly one-kilometre guided tour starts at Slepičí trh and includes the "Mysterious Underground" exhibition. Since 2023, a route leading to a Cold War-era civil defence shelter is also available.
