About the venue
Žižkovské divadlo Járy Cimrmana (ŽDJC) is a theatre in Prague's Žižkov district, home since 1992 to the celebrated Divadlo Járy Cimrmana ensemble performing the comic plays of Ladislav Smoljak and Zdeněk Svěrák. It occupies a Neo-Renaissance building from 1875 (Masarykův dům) with a 230-seat auditorium. Alongside DJC, the venue hosts Divadlo AQUALUNG, 3D Company, Cimrman English Theatre and touring companies. In summer, an intimate courtyard stage operates from June to September.
