About the venue

The Písek synagogue, built in 1871 in a Moorish-Romanesque style, is one of the best-preserved Jewish monuments in South Bohemia. It served the local Jewish community until World War II and today functions as a cultural venue hosting exhibitions, concerts and educational events.
