Alma Rosé

Jonathan Livingston presents Mariusz Urbanek's monodrama Alma Rosé - the story of a violinist who performed on concert hall stages throughout Europe. In 1943, she was interned in Auschwitz because of her Jewish heritage, where she became the conductor of the women's camp orchestra. The lead role is played by Sarah Haváčová.

The performance is accompanied by the Ladies String Quartet: Monika Růžková (first violin), Gabriela Kubátová (second violin), Vanda Kubíková (viola), Sylva Jablonská or Barbora Vychodilová (cello).

The production was created in collaboration with the Bente Kahan Foundation and takes place with the support of the City of Písek and the Central Bohemian Region.
