About the venue

Šaldorfské sklepy z.s. is a winemakers' association bringing together cellar owners in the Modré sklepy (Blue Cellars) complex near Nový Šaldorf, just outside Znojmo. The heritage-protected site is one of the largest in the Znojmo wine region - over 180 wine buildings spread across 9 hectares along an 800-metre cellar square. The cellars are cut directly into sandstone laced with blue-grey clay, which gives them their distinctive hue. The association runs events throughout the year, from the May open cellars and Sklep food fest to St. Martin's Day tastings of young wines.
