About the venue

This late-Gothic double chapel on Mikulášské náměstí was built before 1521 at the initiative of Znojmo burgher Kateřina z Bučic. The two-storey structure stands against the town walls next to St Nicholas's Church - the lower chapel is dedicated to St Martin, the upper one to St Anne and St Catherine. The upper space features a reticulated vault of Danubian type, the only one of its kind in Moravia. Today the chapel hosts exhibitions and concerts; the gallery walkway offers views over Znojmo Castle and the Dyje valley.
